Siloam Center for the Blind has cooperated with Siloam Eye Hospital in August, 2015 and sent a transportation clinic to the Tanzania Tumbi hospital in the Kibaha region. Especially, this region's transportation and accessibility is not good. Also, the department of ophtalmology in the Tumbi hospital provides only basic examinations with poor medical condition that needs more support.
In 24th August(Monday), the donation ceremony of the equipments were conducted and the Siloam Eye Hospital has delivered 20 medical equipments such as the operating microscope, slit microscope, sterilizer, etc to Tumbi Hospital. Over 500 out patients were examined and 31 patients have received eyesight recovery that delivered hope and light. In addition, the Siloam Eye Hospital has conducted empowerment training of the equipment usage and treatment so that the local doctor could independently conduct surgery.
